Alison Alessi is a LEED Accredited Professional Architect with a number of years experience with sustainable design on the Cape. She is an active member of the Cape and Islands Renewable Energy Collaborative as well as a member of NESEA. A licensed architect for over 3 years, Alison has designed a number of green residences, commercial and municipal projects in towns across the Cape. She has collaborated with a number of local “green” consultants to refine and improve design elements of specific projects and has experience presenting projects to various local regulatory boards. Before moving to the Cape, Alison designed several small industrial buildings and a small bike bridge for a new bicycle path located along a blighted river in Cambridge as part of the Big Dig in Boston. She received her Masters of Architecture from MIT in 2001 and has an AB in architecture from Princeton University. Alison & her husband Jason, recently installed solar thermal panels including domestic hot water and rediant floor heating system on their own house. |

| "Bob" Evans has had his own practice since 1991 and designed numerous custom residential homes and light commercial structures. He has practiced in several states and is a member of the American Design Drafting Institute, Building Officials & Code Administrators International, National Fire Protection Institute, and Construction Specifications Institute. Bob is also a licensed building code official in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Maryland. From 1993 through 1999 Bob practiced in Santa Fe, New Mexico and worked on the design for the Nizhoni School for Global Consciousness, designed numerous straw bale homes and collaborated with Padilla & Associates on several sustainable development projects using passive solar and permaculture techniques for waste water. Bob also consulted with the Santa Clara Pueblo helping to generate project building models for submittal to the BIA (Bureau of Indian Affairs) for grant approval. In 1999 Bob relocated to Cape Cod and has actively participated in gaining approval for clients who have projects within the sensitive ecosystem of wetlands on the Cape. He has extensive experience with construction cost estimating, construction specifications as well as general building practices. | |
