A+E Architects Builders completed a design for a renovation project that would adapt an historic fire station loaced on Commercial Street into public restroom and tourist information center on the first floor. The second and third floor will be renovated into affordable housing untis for summer police staffing needs. The existing historic features will be preserved and updated while the building is brought up to current building and accessibility codes. The thermal envelope of the existing firehouse will be improved by adding a layer of continuous insulation.
